Generation 1 - Chapter 8
Constance went through the motions of things she thought any good mother would do. Even if she didn't feel connected with Jane or would rather be writing.
"You could be an artist."
"Or a chef! Then you could cook for mommy!"
"Remember, don't EVER touch mommy's computer."
Jane's growing curiosity was beginning to cause trouble...
Sharing a room was not easy. Constance tossed and turned all night. She had a deadline and her publisher was getting anxious.
After nights like that it's ice cream for breakfast
"Maybe if I can just get her to understand how much better off she'll be if she's independent" Constance thought.
"One day you'll grow up, get a job, and then move into your own house..."
Poor Constance, she must be so stressed! She's trying to be a good mum, though, I'm sure little Jane will grow up well :)
