Generation 7 - Chapter 15

The next day Jonas was very distracted while he worked with the toddlers. He couldn't get Emmaline and all her meddling out of his mind. He was very thankful that Candace was there helping him when she pointed out to him that he was powdering the floor instead of the child while changing one after an accident. 

After all the little winged noise makers were picked up Jonas talked Candace into a late trip to the spa. He had called and reserved a special appointment and was going to be paying through the nose for it but he needed her to be safe while he ran some errands... 

Moms always know just what to do 

He could tell she had been expecting him and wondered how she had known. But that wasn't what was important. He needed help with the Emmaline problem 

"I know she's not family anymore, not that she ever really was, but is there anything you can do? She threatened my wife's life!" 

"You escalated this when you cast your inner beauty charm on her! Yes I know it was you. The woman is unhinged and you baited her." 

"What would you have done then? Just continued to ignore her like you keep telling me to do? She told Candace to pack up and leave or else! She told me she had some plan for me. DO you know what she's talking about? I can't have this woman harassing us any more. The baby will be here any day!" 

"I think the best we can do is get Wilson and go before the council. Only they have the actual power to send her away. Wilson already has Master Albert's ear, as you know, so it shouldn't be too hard to bring this to their attention. How about we go there in the morning? 

Having a plan made Jonas feel immensely better. Until he realized he didn't have his phone on him 

Meanwhile.... 

Massage therapy has the possibility to send a pregnant woman into labor, esp if she's close to her due date... 

After repeated attempts to get in touch with Jonas, Candace gave up and called for an ambulance. She knew most woman were capable of driving themselves (and frantic spouses) to the hospital, but her contractions were coming hard and fast. She was already crowning when they pulled up to the ER bay. They never even made it to a room. 

Jonas was very upset that he hadn't been there for her and she had to do it alone, but she assured him she was too busy to notice anyway. Because her delivery was so fast and smooth they released her the very next night.
