Generation 7 - Chapter 18

Weeks have passed with no sign of Candace or why she had disappeared. The local LEOs were finally taking it seriously. While no one had directly accused Emmaline of wrong doing, the whole town seemed to be watching her out of the corners of their eyes. To say Jonas was distraught would be an understatement. He could barely function. He had had to close down his All Day Pre-k because he just couldn't focus. Not to mention parents were a bit nervous about taking there kids to his house now. He now spent his days alternating between depression and being overly motivated. He papered the town with missing posters of his wife. He went to the cafe where she was last seen so often the police had to finally tell him he couldn't go there anymore. He joined every social network he could find and blasted the missing posters there too. 

Sometimes he was so down her could barely leave the bed. Wind had to check on him often. She feared he was becoming suicidal. She and Fabian often took care of Cherish. Whenever she wasn't with Candace's parents anyway. Esp now that Wind was expecting again. 

The words she tried to uplift him never seemed to be heard. 

Whenever he would let her, she would hold him like a child and croon to him. It broke her heart to see her grandson this way. 

The weeks turned into months and Cherish's birthday came and went. The grandparents and great grandparents tried to talk Jonas into throwing her a party. Something for him to focus on, but it never happened. She turned into a quiet, and rather shy child. 

At least when he was giving her his attn it pulled him out of himself for a while. 

He would often pace the house with her in his arms as he called and harassed and generally drove people nuts about finding his wife (can't blame him). Telling her as he did so that he was trying to find her momma so that she could come home to them
