Generation 7 - Chapter 16

I am super happy to have another girl heir! Not so excited about another fairy...but I'll make it work.

Some things I forgot to mention because they didn't really come up in the story -
I originally hoped for a human girl heir so I could marry her to Ephriam and have a vampire child...Liam O'Dourk died and his wife (Candace's mother) promptly married him instead >_<
Ephriam has yet to have children and this is is 3rd or 4th wife. He as a habit of marrying elders. She's not one yet so we'll see! This also breaks is vow not to marry a fairy, but hey, with SP there is only so much I can do.

Back to the young couple

They were over the moon in love with this little girl. After a few weeks had passed and mommy and baby were doing well, they decided to have a "Welcome to the world" party for little Cherish. They sent out baby announcement/party invites

They were having a lovely time! Wilson brought his new wife to meet everyone. Ephriam came along with Candace's mom even though it was an early afternoon gathering. Wind was beside herself in excitement over having a little girl in the family finally!

What fun family gathering is complete without a little drama?

"No No No No No!" cried Jonas when he saw her storm in through the front door.

She was too fast for him to block and slid through the crowd with unnatural grace and speed. It was like no one in the house existed other than Candace and the baby

"You're pretty foolish, even for a human. I though I made myself clear the last time we had a chat."

"Perhaps you're too dense to understand simple things? You dirty little slattern contaminating the fairy line with your human weaknesses. Now you carry around that abomination like it's something to be proud of!"

"You should be ashamed of yourself. If I were you I'd throw myself off a cliff!"

"But it's too late for that. I told you to leave town didn't I? I gave you a chance to save yourself, didn't I?"

Candace tried to storm off and take Cherish away from the evil woman but she grabbed her arm and spun them around

"Don't you EVER touch me!" Candace shrieked, getting the attn of all in the house
"Your days are numbered Emmaline, The council won't let you continue treating us this way! You better leave! Now!"

Wilson and Ephriam came and stood to either side of Emmaline insisting that it was time for her to leave. Wilson knew this public outburst would aide in getting Emmaline dealt with. Between a mature fairy and a vampire, she didn't have a chance refusing them and they took her by the arms and led her out.

Jonas rushed to his wife and held her close. He was getting so tired of that woman. He vowed he would spend all his free time working to put her away. Or whatever it was they did to bad fairies.

They stayed closed in at home for several weeks after Emmalines visit. Their were no phone calls, no nasty letters. No pranks. Everything seemed to be quiet as far as Emmaline was concerned. In stead of being reassuring, it made them more nervous.
Candace spent a lot of time trying to look up information about the fairy justice system. How it worked, who to call, possible punishments...but she kept reaching dead ends. Either they hid the knowledge or there wasn't any real crime.... Or justice

"Hey. If you spent less time on the computer...we'd have more time for other things....." Jonas teased
"Yeah yeah. besides, if we spend any more time cooped up together, Cherish may end up with sibling sooner than later!"
"That wouldn't be so bad would it?" Jonas asked with a twinkle in his eye "I made you coffee. Go sit down and enjoy. I have errands to run today! Love you!"

Candace sat contemplating the idea of anther baby so soon. The reality was she had less than a week left before going back to work and she was actually excited about it.

Jonas went straight to his great grandfather's home

Jeanie answered the door and seemed reluctant to let him enter. Jonas barely knew her but he found it odd.
Wilson was just finishing breakfast so Jonas sat down to talk. They discussed the council and possible actions they might take. Jonas expressed his great concerned for their safety. Even some of his clients had hinted at removing their children from his care for fear of Emmaline. Or were they doing as she bid them? Should they move? Hire security? get a dog? go into hiding? Why wasn't the council talking to them directly? Why hadn't they arrested her?

Even Wilson seemed a bit stand off-ish. He tried to explain the serving justice to a fairy of her prominence was a difficult feat. He needed to be patient yet on guard. The council was taking it VERY seriously and was having her followed but those were all the details he had. Jonas was very frustrated that no one seemed to be taking the threat as seriously as he was.

"Try to have patience Jonas. And don't do anything rash." Wilson said dismissing him.

Not getting anywhere with Wilson and tired of the odd way Jeanie looked at him, Jonas left. He was restless and headed to his father's new house. Elgon had been seriously dating a woman named Sydney for months and they and recently decided to live together in her house. Jonas thought it was a great idea. His father was having a hard time with apartment living in his older age and they seemed to get along very well.

While he was visiting with his father Candace got a call asking if she could come back to work a few days early. They really needed help. There were 2 new cooks that had no idea what they were doing and the manager was out of town at a cooking seminar

Hadn't she just been thinking about how she missed work? She sent Jonas a quick text and called her mother over to babysit. It only took about 20 mins to get ready and she was out of the door

    1. Melamine really messed up in front of a group of people. I'm sure the council is taking it much more seriously. Wilson is not about to let his great grandson in on the investigation.
