Generation 8 - Chapter 11

After explaining to GG for the upteenth time that she didn't want to sign up for any after school things she backed off.

Cherish was pretty sure it was more of a compromise than anything else. Her plants had begun taking over the house. They were everywhere. The office. The entrance. The kitchen, the bathrooms, and every windowsill that was deep enough to support a pot.
GG had the side yard cleared off and a fancy fence put up.
"When the weather turns warm I want you to move all your plants outside. If you'll do that, I'll stop asking you to sign up for things at school. Deal?"
Cherish couldn't say no to that!

GG Wind had been taking on a lot of new clients lately. She was working long hours and looking for inspiration in new places. Cherished figured her plants growing on the drafting table was not the kind of inspiration she was wanted.

Spring was coming soon so it wouldn't be long until the ground was warm enough and soft enough to move things outside. And there was so much room Cherish could add to the plants she already had. Some neighbors had been kind enough to bring her some starts and she had heard them talk about a shop outside of town that sold exotic and hard to find plants. Among other things.

Cherish was always sure to give her best k9 friend plenty of love and attention. Now that she and Fatima didn't spend as much time together, the dog was filling in the need for contact with others. Cherish knew she was an introvert and she was fine with it. She also knew that every now and then, she needed the company of someone else. The problem was finding someone that didn't exhaust her to be around them. Thankfully her dog was always there with unconditional love and never demanded more than some belly rubs in return.

She hardly ever saw Brenton anymore. Now that he was legally and adult he seemed to be gone all the time. GG was sure to remind him that just because graduation was coming soon it did not make it ok to be out all night. She seemed to catch him sneaking in or out of the house a lot lately. Normally she wasn't up late but she had been going out a lot more herself. Cherish assumed it was her new clients and wondered how Fatima was taking it. Of course Fatima was so independent she probably didn't notice her mom wasn't around much.

  1. It's going to take a special man for Cherish I can see that. I'm glad Wind backed off and stopped pushing her to join something. I wish she did have at least one friend, but she has her faithful dog :) that's a great option.

    1. In game, boys call Cherish ALL THE TIME but she has no relationship with any of them . It's kinda weird.
Having a dog you love is a wonderful thing. For her he's more like a service animal or best friend than a pet.
      Thanks for commenting!

  2. LOL. I love the sketch poses. Oh boy, I suppose if it makes her happy, Wind can't be too angry that she brought home a companion. Glad Cherish has something to channel her energy and talent into, even if she doesn't feel 100% happy yet. That takes a lot of getting over, I'm sure. Keep your chin up, Cherish! We're all pulling for you!

    1. Haha. I loved Elgon posing for her! That's one of my fav interactions with the sketch pad.
Cherish has a real talent with the plants. It's helpful to have something your're naturally good at.
      Thanks

    1. Having a dog is great. I know I love mine! She has had a hard life and finding a passion and direction is super important in helping her cope.

  4. Love the sketch poses with Elgon mother/son bonding time lol. Poor Cherish I hope her wish will come true and she'll be happy once more. She just needs a special someone to bring her spirits back up. Or maybe a certain someone who knows ambrosia to bring back her family.... or a genie. Great update can't wait for the next.

    1. They are hilarious poses! I'm glad the ghosts get to come and hang out once in a while.
I have never brought anyone back from the dead before and I kinda regret not making one or 2 of my sims immortal like so many of the other GS stories but I'm not sure if that would be right for me. Cherish is going to have to find her way through life alone I fear.
      thanks for reading!

  5. Cherish and her puppy are sweet and at least she will have a loyal friend with him and she certainly has a way with the plants. Hopefully she will make some friends soon and she won't feel all alone.

Loved seeing Elgon again even if he is a ghost and it was fun to see Wind sketching him..Oh I sure do miss Elgon.

    1. The ghosts coming back to hang out is one of th ethings I love about the game. Sometimes they're annoying but I love these sims so much it's ok ^_^

Cherish has had a rather dark and unfortunate beginning to life. Thankfully she has Wind and her deceased relatives to look out for her.

  6. It's great that Cherish has something to channel her talents into, like her plants. A canine friend can be a godsend. Believe me, I know. At least she has someone she feels a kinship with, and hopefully one day soon, she can find some peace and happiness.

    1. Having a dog is great. Esp when you're lonely and shy. That unconditional love they give can be very healing.
I feel bad that I can never remember the poor dogs name though >_<
Gardening is very time consuming and it suits her well (plus I think it's the last fairy related LTW so I can try to move on to another occult after her)
(try being the key word -_-)

  7. Hahaha, it looks like Wind needs some practice! :P

Cherish, there's nothing wrong with being an introvert! You stick to your hobbies and your studies -which you actually have time for unlike all those cliquy girls - and you show 'em!!

    1. Haha. I love the sketch option! They did that on their own and I about died from.laughing.

Nothing wrong with being an introvert at all! Just have to watch out in case it's depression instead. They can look a lot alike on the surface...

  8. Cherish is just introvert, it's her trait and there's nothing wrong with that. She has also other beautiful sides, like the way she takes care of the plants, her relationship to her dog and to Fatima. She's but a teen, many things are still to happen!

    1. Absolutely nothing wrong with being an introvert! Plus having her plants and her dog help keep her inner saddness from taking over. Life is just starting for her really :-)
